We want to encourage you to read and buy the Manuels offered by John and Marian Leonardson. John has been involved in many facets of prison ministries for almost 30 years. He is a man of God that is being used mightily by the Lord in this ministry. John is the Executive Director for MentorCare Ministries in Bedford, Texas.

John has written three manuals to address important issues. First he developed a Mentoring Manual to help prepare people to mentor inmates one-to-one. Almost any Christian can learn how to mentor, even though not every church can afford to open an aftercare center. Secondly, he realized prisoners needed to prepare for their release, so he wrote Preparing For Success on the Outside, which won the Texas governor's award for The Most Innovative Program in 2003. In late 2005, he released, with Marian's help, Starting and Operating a Post-Prison Aftercare Facility. Our hope is people will be helped to start and/or build up their facility so it's not likely to fail. Preparing for Success on the Outside

Homer Owen is a man of God. He is a prophet of God! He is a man who hears from God and obeys that "still small voice." Homer and his wife, Ruby, were in business in Waco, Texas when several years ago God called them to serve him in a strange way. The Word says that God's ways are not our ways. God called Homer to go to Samaria and open a miniature golf course. They simply obeyed and God has used them mightily as they have lived there and operated this unusual business that has allowed them many opportunities to be Jesus in a strange marketplace. In that special place they have been used to share Jesus with all kinds of people in a strange but powerful ministry.

One of the ways they have been used is giving drinks of water to people that come to the miniature gold course. God spoke to Homer about water from the Holy Land. God has opened the door for them for them to bottle water from one of the purest places in all of the Middle East. They also have developed an Olive Soap that is wonderful for your skin and other needs.

Homer recently wrote these comments:

"The Lord has provided us with excellent water from a spring above Jericho where Jesus prayed and fasted 40 days for mankind. There is a possibility that He drank from this spring when He finished His fast. Our God is an awesome God. Glory! This water is being bottled by a water plant that is owned by Coca Cola. You, along with whoever you give a bottle of this water to will love the natural spring mineral taste.

When Ruby and I first moved to Israel in 2000 we began using olive oil soap that the local Arabs make. I began to see that there was a real difference in the store-bought chemical soaps that we were accustomed to using and this home-made all natural olive oil soap the Arabs made."
